Details: The Career Mentoring event is a forum to provide anthropology students and new or transitioning professionals with an opportunity to discuss their job-seeking and career questions with experienced, professional anthropologists. A brief general discussion will be followed by small group discussions, broken out by specific career topics or sectors (e.g., international development, health, federal government, evaluation, etc.). The specific topics vary and depend on the participating mentors and their specializations. After two rounds, a group discussion will explore key learning and tips, and address any lingering questions.

ASL interpretation: Contact Erik Kjeldgaard at least 48 hours prior to the event if you require ASL interpretation or other accommodation for this event.

Meeting Location:
The Sumner School is located at the corner of 17th St and M St NW.  The entrance to the meeting area is on 17th St through the double doors under the black metal stairway.  From the Farragut North Metro Station (Red Line), exit onto L St, walk one block east to 17th St, turn left, and walk 2 blocks north.  Picture ID is required for entry to the building, so plan on arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time.  Check with the security officer for directions to the room.
