wASHINGTON ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL ANTHROPOLOGISTS

Share Your Professional Experiences

WAPA's mission is to help members develop professionally.  If you have a project of interest to your colleagues, an example of a new method, or other information relevant to the practice of anthropology, consider speaking at a WAPA meeting.  We welcome topics in any of the sub-fields of anthropology, and from professionals working in any type of organization.

You do not need to be a member of WAPA to be a speaker.  Benefits include free membership in WAPA for a year.  For information, please contact the Chair of our Program Committee, Laurie Krieger.

Information For Prospective and Scheduled Speakers

Our meetings begin at 7 PM at Sumner School, corner of 17th and M Streets, NW, Washington, D.C.  Meetings end at 8:30 PM.  Board members will host the speaker at dinner before the meeting at 5:30 PM at Edgar Restaurant in the Mayflower Hotel.  We will also arrange for any equipment needed for the presentation.
