Students and WAPA

WAPA encourages all students in the Washington region with an interest in anthropology to join the association. Membership will afford students a chance to meet professional anthropologists, learn of internship, fellowship, and job opportunities, keep abreast of anthropological activities in the Washington region, and attend the monthly lectures by guest speakers. Additionally, WAPA can help you become acquainted with professors and students at other colleges and universities in the area.

For the past several years WAPA has recruited an area university student to serve on the WAPA Board. The student member is encouraged to become closely involved with WAPA's operations and to serve as a conduit to the board for student concerns and issues, and also to help promote WAPA activities to area students. Membership Form

New members should complete a membership form. Existing members can use the form to update contact information (you need only fill in your name and any relevant changes). The form is available online (preferable) or as a printed document. The information you provide is used in the WAPA directory, which is available in the password-protected area of this site. If a new member, your website password will be provided to you shortly after we receive your membership dues.
